ABCD PTE

Refunds & Cancellation

Subscriptions, prepaid passes, and when we give your money back.

Last updated: 2 September 2026

1.Prepaid passes

New purchases are one-time prepaid passes for a fixed period of Premium access (1 week, 1 month, 3 months or 6 months), including unlimited mock tests. All passes are one-time payments with no automatic renewal. Your account shows when your pass ends. A queued pass starts when your current pass ends.

Prices include any applicable GST or other tax. The amount shown is the total you pay; no tax is added at checkout.

  • A queued pass that hasn't started yet can be refunded in full.
  • 1-week passes are excluded from our voluntary seven-day money-back guarantee.
  • 1-month passes have our seven-day money-back guarantee on your first charge: it can be used once per customer, and it ends once you've used any part of the service under that pass. The guarantee is set out under “Other refund requests” below.
  • 3-month passes have no voluntary money-back guarantee once the pass has started.
  • 6-month passes have no voluntary money-back guarantee once the pass has started.
  • Once you've used the service under a pass, no voluntary refund is available.

To ask for a refund, email support@abcdpte.com.

A full refund ends access from that pass. A partial refund does not change its access period. If a payment is disputed, access from that pass is suspended while the dispute is reviewed; it is restored if the dispute is resolved in our favour and revoked if the payment is reversed.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and other mandatory consumer laws aren't affected.

2.One account per student

One account per student. Sharing an account between students is not allowed. If we confirm that more than one student has used an account, the account is banned and no voluntary refund is available, subject to your rights under mandatory consumer laws. We act only on documented evidence, after a review. Using several devices, shared Wi-Fi or IP addresses, travel or a VPN is not, on its own, proof of sharing.

3.What you are buying

New purchases are one-time prepaid passes (1 week, 1 month, 3 months or 6 months), described above. An existing paid ABCD PTE subscription unlocks the paid practice content and marking for as long as it is active. There is also a free tier — you can use parts of the portal without paying anything, and you are never charged unless you deliberately buy a prepaid pass or keep a subscription.

  • Existing subscriptions are billed weekly or monthly, the interval chosen when you subscribed.
  • Currency and price depend on your region: New paid plans for Bangladesh are coming soon. Existing subscribers keep their plans. Australia is priced in Australian dollars, Canada in Canadian dollars, and everywhere else in US dollars. The price you will be charged is shown before you confirm.
  • Payment is taken by Stripe. You enter your card on Stripe’s checkout page; your card details never reach our servers.

Prepaid passes: Prices include any applicable GST or other tax. The amount shown is the total you pay; no tax is added at checkout. For existing subscriptions, taxes may be added depending on where you are. Currency conversion and foreign transaction fees are between you and your bank — we do not see them and cannot refund them.

4.Existing subscriptions: automatic renewal

Existing weekly or monthly subscriptions continue to renew automatically until cancelled. A weekly plan is charged every week, and a monthly plan every month, to the card you saved at checkout, until you cancel. Each renewal is at the same price and in the same currency, unless we have told you in advance that the price is changing.

Renewal keeps your access unbroken. If you do not want it to renew, cancel before the current period ends.

5.Existing subscriptions: how to cancel

You can cancel an existing subscription at any time, for any reason. You do not have to tell us why. Prepaid passes do not renew, so there is nothing to cancel.

To cancel, email support@abcdpte.com from the address on your account and say that you want to cancel. We will confirm by reply.

What happens then:

  • Your subscription stops renewing — no further charges.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep full access until then; you do not lose the time you have paid for the moment you cancel.
  • Your account, your attempts and your reports stay where they are. Cancelling a subscription is not the same as deleting your account — for that, see our Privacy Policy.
  • You can subscribe again later; your history will still be there.

6.Charges we always refund

We refund these in full, without argument:

  • Duplicate charges — you were billed twice for the same period.
  • Charges after you cancelled — you cancelled in time and were billed anyway.
  • Charges caused by our error — the wrong amount, the wrong plan, or a charge on an account that never asked for one.

Refunds go back to the card you paid with, in the currency you paid in. We cannot send a refund to a different card or by another method, because the refund is a reversal of the original payment.

7.Other refund requests

Beyond the cases above, our policy on refunds is a simple guarantee with two conditions:

Your first subscription or 1-month-pass charge is covered by a seven-day money-back guarantee. If ABCD PTE is not right for you, tell us within seven days of that first payment and we refund it in full — we will not ask you to justify your decision. The two conditions: it can be used once per customer, and it ends the moment you use premium AI marking on the paid tier (a marked spoken or written submission, or a mock test), since the marked feedback is consumed paid content. For a 1-month pass, it ends once you’ve used any part of the service under that pass. 1-week passes are excluded, and 3-month and 6-month passes have no voluntary money-back guarantee once the pass has started.

Outside that window, we do not refund part-used periods. You can cancel an existing subscription at any time; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for, and renewal charges are not eligible for the guarantee. To request a refund, email support@abcdpte.com with the date and amount of the charge.

8.Your legal rights

Nothing on this page takes away rights you have under consumer protection law where you live. Some countries give you a cooling-off or cancellation right for digital services bought online, and rights to a remedy if a service is not as described or not fit for purpose. Those rights apply on top of this policy and win where they conflict with it.

If you think the service was not what we described, tell us — we would rather fix it than argue about it.

9.Existing subscriptions: if a payment fails

If a renewal is declined — an expired card, a bank block, or insufficient funds — your subscription is marked as past due and Stripe retries the payment.

We do not cut off your access the moment a single payment fails. Losing a paying customer their practice over a temporarily declined card would be the wrong call. But if the payment keeps failing and the subscription ends up unpaid or cancelled, paid access stops. Update your card and start a new subscription to get it back.

10.Chargebacks

If you do not recognise a charge or think it is wrong, please email us first at support@abcdpte.com. We can usually resolve it the same way a bank would, and faster.

A chargeback raised without contacting us may lead to your account being suspended while the bank investigates, because the payment behind your access has been reversed.

11.How to ask for a refund

Email support@abcdpte.com from the address on your account and include:

  • the date and amount of the charge, and the currency;
  • what you would like us to do — refund, cancel, or both — and why.

We will tell you our decision by email. Once a refund is approved, we issue it through Stripe straight away; how long it then takes to appear on your statement is up to your bank or card issuer, and is outside our control.

Refunds and cancellations sit alongside our Terms of Service, which this policy forms part of.
