Terms of Service
The rules for using ABCD PTE, written to be read rather than skimmed past.
Last updated: 2 September 2026
1.Who we are
ABCD PTE is an online practice portal for the PTE Academic English test, available at abcdpte.com. It is operated by ABCD AI, the team that also operates abcdielts.com; our office addresses are on the contact page. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean ABCD AI, and “you” means the person using the portal.
You can reach us at support@abcdpte.com. See our contact page for what to include.
2.We are not Pearson
ABCD PTE is an independent practice service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Pearson, which owns and administers the PTE Academic test along with the brand names and trademarks that go with it. We name that test here only to say which exam our practice material prepares you for.
We cannot book your test, change your test date, access your official results, or influence your official score in any way. For anything concerning the real exam, deal with Pearson directly.
Every practice item, explanation, sample answer and audio recording on this portal is original material written and produced for ABCD PTE. We do not reproduce Pearson’s test content.
3.Accepting these terms
By creating an account or using the portal, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with them, please do not use ABCD PTE.
You must be at least 13 years old to hold an account. If you are between 13 and 17, you need verifiable permission from a parent or legal guardian.
4.Your account
You sign in with an email address and a password. Your ABCD PTE account is separate from any other ABCD product account — an ABCD IELTS login does not work here, and vice versa.
- Give us an email address you actually control. It is how we send password resets and billing notices.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so tell us straight away if you think someone else has access.
- An account is for one person. Sharing a login, or reselling access to one, is not allowed — it also corrupts your own progress data, since every report is built from the attempts on your account.
You can ask us to close your account at any time by emailing support@abcdpte.com. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
5.What the service does
ABCD PTE gives you practice items across the 22 PTE Academic question types in the July-2025 format, sectional practice, full mock tests, automated marking, and reports that break your performance down by skill and by question type.
Some material is available on a free tier and some requires a paid subscription. Which is which can change as we add content; the portal always shows you what your current plan includes before you start.
6.Scores on this portal are estimates
This is the most important clause in this document, so it is written plainly.
Everything you are scored on here is marked automatically. Fixed-answer question types are marked by deterministic rules. Pronunciation and fluency on spoken types are scored by SpeechAce, a third-party speech assessment service. Content and language traits on open-ended written and spoken responses are marked by Anthropic’s Claude models. No human examiner reviews your responses as part of the score.
- Scores are shown on the 10–90 scale, with an overall score and four skill scores.
- Mock test scores are labelled “Estimated” and carry a ± range. That range is part of the score, not decoration — read the whole range, not the midpoint.
- We do not guarantee that a score from this portal matches, or predicts, the score you will receive from Pearson. Nothing here is an official PTE Academic score, and nothing here can be submitted to a university, an employer or an immigration authority.
- If a marking service is unavailable or returns something we cannot trust, the portal shows you that the item could not be marked. It does not invent a number to fill the gap.
- Automated marking gets things wrong sometimes. If you think a score or an item is wrong, tell us at support@abcdpte.com — that is how the content gets better.
You use the portal to prepare and to see where you stand. Decisions you take on the basis of an estimated score — booking a test date, choosing a target, applying somewhere — are yours.
7.Your responses and recordings
When you practise, we store what you produce: typed responses, selected answers, and the audio recordings you make for speaking items. You keep ownership of that material.
You give us permission to store and process it for the purposes of running the service — marking it, showing you reports, tracking your progress, supporting you when you write in, and investigating faults. To mark it, we send it to the third-party services listed in our Privacy Policy; that page names every one of them and says exactly what is sent.
We do not sell your responses or recordings. You can ask us to delete them — see the Privacy Policy for how.
Only record your own voice. Do not upload or record someone else without their agreement, and do not submit content that is illegal, abusive, or infringes anyone’s rights.
8.Our content
The practice items, explanations, sample answers, audio, reports, design and software that make up ABCD PTE belong to us or to our licensors. Your subscription buys you personal, non-commercial access while it lasts.
You may not:
- copy, republish, resell, or share our content outside your own account — including in a coaching class, a study group drive, or a paid group;
- scrape the portal, or use bots or scripts to bulk-download items, audio, or reports;
- reverse-engineer or interfere with the marking engine, or try to make it produce a score that does not reflect your work;
- get around usage limits, paywalls, or the account system — including by creating multiple accounts to extend a free tier.
9.Subscriptions and payment
Paid access is sold as an auto-renewing subscription, weekly or monthly, priced in your region’s currency. Payments are taken by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe’s own checkout page and never reach our servers.
Renewal, cancellation and refunds are set out in full in our Refunds & Cancellation policy, which forms part of these terms.
10.Availability and changes
We work to keep the portal running, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption. Hosting, marking services and databases fail sometimes, and we take the site down for maintenance.
The content library, the marking engine and the features on offer will change over time — we add question types, rewrite items, and adjust how traits are scored as the calibration improves. That means a score from one month is not always directly comparable to a score from another.
11.Disclaimers
Except where the law says otherwise, the portal is provided “as is”. We do not promise that it is free of errors, that the content is complete, or that using it will produce any particular result in the real exam.
Nothing in this section removes rights you have under consumer protection law where you live. Where those laws give you guarantees we cannot exclude, those guarantees apply.
12.Limitation of liability
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — for example exam fees, visa or application costs, lost opportunities, or lost time — arising from your use of the portal or from an estimated score.
Our total liability to you for any claim connected with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
We do not limit liability for anything that cannot be limited by law, including fraud and death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
13.Suspension and termination
You can stop using ABCD PTE whenever you like, and cancel a subscription as described in the Refunds & Cancellation policy.
We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if we have to for legal reasons, or if we stop offering the service. If we close your account for a reason that is not your fault while you have paid for time you have not used, we will refund that time.
14.Changes to these terms
We update these terms as the product changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. If a change materially affects your rights or what you pay, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
Continuing to use the portal after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
15.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dhaka. This does not remove any right you have to bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live, where your local law gives you that right.
16.Contact
Questions about these terms go to support@abcdpte.com, or see the contact page.
